Technology Development Board -TDB, a statutory body, is first of its kind in the Government of India and an unique organisation to provide financial assistance by way of equity or loan or grants to industrial concerns and other agencies attempting commercial applications of indigenous technology or adapting imported technology for wider domestic applications and to entrepreneurs engaged in developing indigenous technology for commercial applications at incubator centers, R&D institutes, recognized by the Central Government. The assistance of loan is limited upto 50% of the project cost at a simple interest of 5% per annum.
TDB has provided financial support of about Rs.800 crores to 173 projects with a capital outlay of about Rs.2600 crores till 31st March 2007. These projects are in the areas of Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, Transportation, Engineering, Agriculture, Information Technology, Telecommunication, Energy & Waste Utilization etc.
TDB priories projects of national importance and social relevance and encourages innovative technology based proposals besides supporting the incubation of new ventures resulting in commercialization. TDB accepts the project proposals throughout the year. I like to setup an Indian ayurvedic pharma company (medicinal plants) I am in search of financial support for my company i.e., ventures capital or through loan basis.
My aim:
